WPCasa Mobile App – Privacy Policy Addendum

This Privacy Policy regulates the data processing of the WPCasa mobile application (“the App”). The App allows you to manage listings on your own, self-hosted WordPress website powered by the WPCasa plugin.

Operator and Contact

The App is operated by Kybernetik Services LLC. For our full corporate identity, physical address, and legal representatives, please refer to our official Legal Notice. For any privacy-related inquiries regarding the App, you can contact us directly via Email: mail@wpcasa.com

Local Storage on Your Device

To connect the App to your WordPress site, you must enter your website URL and login credentials. These credentials are stored exclusively within your device’s secure internal storage. They are never transmitted to WPCasa or any third party.

Data Transmission and Encryption

All communication, data exchange, and content management (such as reading, creating, editing listings, or uploading media) occurs strictly and directly between your mobile device and your own self-hosted WordPress website.

  • We (WPCasa) do not operate any intermediary servers.
  • We do not receive, collect, or store any of your website data, listings, or credentials.
  • Security Note: To protect your credentials and listings during transmission, you must ensure your WordPress website uses a secure connection (HTTPS).

Device Permissions (Camera and Photo Library)

The App requests access to specific device features only when technically required for your actions:

  • Camera: Used to scan a QR code for quick site connection, or to take photos to add directly to your property listings.
  • Photo Library: Used exclusively to select and upload existing images to your property listings.

All images are uploaded directly to your own website.

Third-Party Services (Maps)

When viewing property locations, map tiles are loaded directly from OpenStreetMap. To display these maps, OpenStreetMap technically processes your device’s current IP address, just like an ordinary web browser. For more information, please refer to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy: https://osmfoundation.org

Feedback and Support

If you use the built-in feedback function, the App opens your device’s native email client with a pre-formatted draft. No data is transmitted automatically; an email is only sent when you manually click the “Send” button.

No Tracking, Advertising, or Analytics

The App is built with data privacy in mind. It contains:

  • NO third-party advertising or ad-networks.
  • NO user analytics or behavior tracking tools.
  • NO automated background crash reporting.

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data.

Children’s Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App only connects to your own self-hosted website and stores credentials locally, no data is transmitted to us.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • App Data: Disconnecting your website within the App settings instantly and permanently deletes your stored website URL and login credentials from your device.
  • Website Data: Property listings and uploaded photos reside entirely on your own WordPress server. To delete this data, you must log into your WordPress dashboard and remove it there.
